The Networker wall controller is found on a number of ducted air conditioning & gas heater systems.
If there is a fault with the system a flashing spanner is displayed on the screen and a code will scroll across the top of the display approximately every 2 minutes. It is important to make note of this code.
Resetting the system is a simple as pushing ‘reset’ which is button number 4. The following video demonstrates how to reset faults on your Networker thermostat.
Keeping your air conditioning filter clean is essential for maintaining airflow, energy efficiency, and indoor air quality.
Cleaning Instructions
Most filters can be cleaned with a gentle spray from a garden hose. Here’s how:
Remove the Filter
Carefully take the filter out of the unit. The side that was facing into the room is the dirty side.
Rinse the Filter
Hold the filter with the dirty side facing away from you, and gently hose it from the clean side. This prevents dust from being pushed deeper into the filter.
Final Rinse
Once the majority of dust is removed, you can flip the filter and hose down both sides to ensure a full clean.
Dry Completely
Allow the filter to drip dry fully before reinstalling it in the unit.
Note: While some filters can be vacuumed, we recommend against it as vacuuming can often cause more damage than good.
Video
In the video below we show you how to clean your ducted air conditioner filter. All you will need is a small step ladder, brush and a hose.
How Often Should I Clean It?
We recommend washing your filters every 1–3 months, depending on usage and environment.

Your condensation pump is a key component of your air conditioning system, responsible for removing condensation and preventing water damage.
Why Maintenance Matters
Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal pump operation. Without it, the pump can become noisy, fail, or damage your air conditioning system.
Key Maintenance Steps
Clean the pump: Every six months, clean the pump’s filter, float, and reservoir. Use an anti-bacterial wash to prevent bacteria buildup.
Check the float: Ensure the float is correctly positioned. The float activates the pump when the water level rises, making proper positioning vital.
Clean or replace the air conditioning filters: Dirty air filters restrict airflow, causing the unit to work harder and produce more condensation, potentially overloading the pump.
Split System Condensate Pump Maintenance
Troubleshooting Tips
If the pump runs continuously: Check the float and ensure the reservoir is clean.
If the pump isn’t working at all: Check the power supply to the pump and the air conditioning unit. If neither is working, check the circuit breaker.
Check for clogs: Regularly inspect and clean the pump’s inlet and outlet to prevent clogs from debris or dust.
Listen for unusual noises: If you hear grinding, rattling, or other unusual noises, it could indicate a problem with the pump’s motor or other components.
Check the discharge line: Ensure the discharge line is clear and free of kinks or blockages.

If unsure about any steps or if problems persist, engage a professional air conditioner technician.
Sometimes heating and cooling systems can lock out due to a fault. This may be caused by a storm, power surge, or an intermittent error that has since cleared.
Important: Before attempting a reset, please take note of any fault codes or unusual symptoms. These details will help if a service call is later required.
Meter Box with circuit breakers
Step-by-Step Reset Instructions
Locate Your Meter Box – The electrical meter box is usually located near the front or side of your house. This is where your electricity provider takes meter readings.
Open the Meter Box – Inside, you’ll find a series of circuit breakers or fuses.
Find the Air Conditioning Circuit Breaker
It’s commonly labelled ‘A/C’ or ‘Air Conditioning’.
If you have more than one system, you may see ‘A/C 1’, ‘A/C 2’, etc.
Some boards use numbers and include a sheet identifying each circuit.
Check the Circuit Breaker Position
If the breaker is OFF, try turning it back ON.
If it trips again immediately, do not continue — contact our service team.
If it is already ON, switch it OFF and leave it off for 20–30 minutes.
Turn It Back On – After waiting, switch the breaker back ON and allow the system 10–20 minutes to complete its startup cycle.
Check System Operation – Once the system has restarted, check if it’s running normally. Be patient — in extreme temperatures, it may take longer to notice heating or cooling effects.
