What the lanes mean.
Try this first
Reset, clean the filter, or check the controller settings. If the code does not come back, no service is needed.
Book a service
The fault needs a technician. Mention the code when you book.
Switch off and call
Burning smells, water leaks or tripped breakers. Switch off at the isolator and call (02) 4760 0100. 24 hours.
Not sure what system you have?
The brand pages are sorted by system type.
Ducted
Grilles in the ceiling and a controller on the wall. The code shows on the wall controller.
Hi-wall split
One unit mounted high on the wall of the room. The code shows on its display, or as a pattern of blinking lights.
Multi-head
Several indoor units sharing one outdoor unit. Each room can show its own code.
MyAir / MyPlace touchscreen
The code may come from the tablet itself, or be passed through from the unit behind it. Check both brand pages.
Common questions.
Is it safe to keep running it with a code showing?
Green and amber codes can usually wait a day or two; the system limits itself to prevent damage. If it smells hot, trips breakers or leaks water, switch off at the isolator and call.
Will turning it off and on fix it?
Sometimes. Reset once at the isolator and wait 20 to 30 minutes. If the code comes back, book a service. Do not keep resetting.
Why isn’t my code listed?
Codes vary between models and years. Rinnai and Brivis shared several ranges after 2016, so check both pages. If you cannot find your code, call (02) 4760 0100 and read it out.
This guide is general information, not a diagnosis. Fault codes vary by model and year. A code narrows down the fault; it does not identify the exact cause. All refrigerant and electrical work is carried out by licensed technicians. ARC licences AU12976 & AU15788. Code data is drawn from official manufacturer documentation. Last verified August 2026.
