An Australian household name

Rinnai

One of Australia’s biggest names in home heating — gas hot water, gas heating, gas appliances and a serious fireplace range. Their ES and EL Series electric fires bring that same engineering to hyper-realistic flames and smart-app control.

Inspiration

Looks for every room.

Real installations from the Escea and Rinnai catalogues — from frameless inbuilts behind blackbutt joinery to outdoor cookers in the entertaining zone.

Why a fireplace

More than just a heater.

Genuine warmth

Gas and wood put out real kW and properly heat a room. Electric is brilliant for shoulder-season ambience and instant heat. We size every unit to the room — never the catalogue.

Ambience without the effort

No splitting kindling, no ash bucket on Sunday morning. Remote start, flame-only mode for warmer nights, scheduled timers — the fireplace serves the room, not the other way round.

Properly controlled

Escea’s Smart Heat lets you run a gas unit from your phone over the home network. Rinnai’s ES and EL Series add Wi-Fi and voice control. We commission every install so the fire behaves the way you’d want from day one.

See it burning

Drop by the Emu Plains showroom.

Working displays of Escea and Rinnai units, so you can stand in front of the flame before you commit. We’ll talk you through clearances, flue runs, gas points and surround options — no pressure, no obligation.

Common questions

The bits people usually ask.

Gas, electric or wood — which is best for my place?
If you’ve already got natural gas at the meter, a gas fireplace gives you real flame and serious heat with minimal day-to-day effort. Electric is the easiest install — plug-in or hardwired, no flue, no gas line — and the flame effects on the Rinnai EL Series are genuinely impressive. Wood is for the purists: the smell, the snap, the radiant heat. We size every option to the room — never the catalogue.
Do you install in apartments?
Electric, yes — most strata committees are fine with an electric unit since there’s no flue and no fuel storage. Gas and wood need a flue path and usually body-corporate sign-off. Send us your floor plan and we’ll tell you what’s possible.
How long does the install take?
Install timelines vary widely — an electric retrofit might be done in a day, while a new-build gas or wood fireplace involves cabinetry, framing and flue runs that sit inside the builder’s program. We don’t usually run building works ourselves; we work alongside your builder to deliver and commission the fireplace within their schedule. Once we have your floor plan and the brand/model picked, we’ll give you a realistic window inside the wider build.
Can I run my own gas line or chimney?
By law the gas line has to be done by a licensed gas fitter, and flue work needs to meet the manufacturer’s spec to keep the warranty intact. We’re licensed, certified, and we sign off the install — so if anything ever needs checking, there’s one clear chain of responsibility.
Who handles servicing and warranty?
Servicing and warranty go directly through the manufacturer — Escea or Rinnai. They have factory-trained service technicians and the right parts on hand. If anything comes up after install, we’ll point you to the right contact and help with the paperwork.
