Are you a qualified air conditioning installer who takes pride in a job done right? Ample Air is looking for a reliable, hard-working tradesperson to join our installation team on a wide variety of projects.

The role

This is a full-time, hands-on installation role working across split system and ducted air conditioning, with some travel involved. Day to day, you’ll be delivering quality installs, commissioning systems and making sure every job meets Australian standards and the Ample Air standard.

What you’ll be doing

  • Installing split system and ducted air conditioning units across a range of residential and commercial projects
  • Running, brazing and pressure-testing pipework
  • Evacuating, charging and commissioning systems to manufacturer specifications
  • Fault-finding, leak testing and rectifying issues on new and existing systems
  • Working to Australian standards and all relevant safety and compliance requirements
  • Delivering friendly, professional service and a tidy worksite on every job
  • Completing job documentation and compliance paperwork accurately

What you’ll need

  • A current Australian driver’s licence
  • ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence (RHL)
  • Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or a relevant air conditioning trade qualification)
  • General Construction Induction (White Card)
  • Proven experience installing split system and/or ducted air conditioning
  • Working at Heights and Electrical Disconnect/Reconnect tickets are an advantage

The Opportunity:

  • We’re expanding our installation team and seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our Air Conditioning Install team full-time. This role involves diverse residential and light commercial projects, including new builds and existing properties.
  • You’ll have the opportunity to work independently, showcasing your electrical expertise and contributing to our continued success. As well as working alongside our highly experienced Air Conditioning team learning how to install various types of air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality installations of residential and light commercial projects.
  • Installing electrical circuits for new and replacement air confining systems.
  • Interpret and follow technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure all installations comply with relevant Australian standards and regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and efficiently.

Essential Requirements:

  • Australian Driver’s License.
  • Valid Fair Trading Trade License.
  • General Construction Induction (White Card).
  • Licensed Electrician.
  • Proven experience in residential and light commercial electrical work.
