The best option right now is the NSW Government’s Home Energy Saver program. Eligible NSW households can borrow up to $15,000 at 0% interest, no fees, over up to 10 years, for efficient reverse-cycle air conditioning or heat pump hot water. It’s an interest-free loan, not a rebate, so it spreads the cost without adding to it. Often the energy savings more than cover the repayments.
