Upgrading an existing ducted system: Can I use my old ductwork?

In some cases, if your existing ductwork is relatively new, perfectly sized, and in excellent condition, we can connect a new ducted machine to it. However, in most upgrade scenarios, we recommend replacing the ducting.

Older ductwork often suffers from tears, crushed sections, or deteriorated tape, meaning you are blowing expensive conditioned air directly into your roof cavity. Additionally, modern ductwork features much higher R-value insulation, which keeps the air colder as it travels to your vents. During our free site visit, we will inspect your roof space and give you an honest assessment of whether your old ductwork can be salvaged.
