Endless hot water from an energy-efficient heat pump hot water system
Rinnai Enviroflo

Heat Pump Hot Water

The more efficient way to heat your water. A heat pump pulls warmth from the air, so it runs for a fraction of the cost of a standard electric tank. The current Rinnai Enviroflo range runs from a compact 180L all-in-one to a 400L split, with split systems that keep performing right down to -10°C.

You could pay it off with a 0% interest loan through the NSW Home Energy Saver program. See how it works

Why a heat pump

Cut your hot water running costs

Hot water is one of the biggest energy users in the home. A heat pump does the same job for far less power, and there's a Rinnai Enviroflo to suit almost any household.

Highly efficient

Pulls heat from the surrounding air instead of burning power to make it. The S7 Split can turn one unit of electricity into up to nine units of heat, which means serious savings over a standard electric tank.

Built tough for our conditions

Rinnai builds the split-system and AR tanks in Australia, and every Enviroflo in the range is rated to water pressures up to 1000 kPa and made to handle our climate.

Hot water all year

A built-in element boost carries high demand and cold snaps, so there's hot water even on the coldest mornings.

Kinder to the planet

Most of the range runs on R290 natural refrigerant with a tiny global warming footprint, and every model uses far less grid electricity to start with.

The split systems

Two splits: the S7 and the S5

A split system pairs an Australian-built tank with a separate outdoor heat pump unit, for flexible installation and easy servicing. Both Enviroflo splits keep their heat pumps working right down to -10°C, made for proper Blue Mountains winters.

Enviroflo S7, the 7.0kW flagship

Rinnai's most powerful heat pump. With 7.0kW of heating power behind it, the hot water keeps coming through busy mornings, big households and back-to-back showers.

Enviroflo S5, the compact split

The S5 pairs a Japanese-made 5kW heat pump unit, running an efficient R32 compressor, with the same Australian-built tanks. With 5.0kW of heating power to the S7's 7.0kW it reheats more gradually after heavy use, a neat fit for homes where hot water demand comes steadily rather than all at once.

The all-in-one options

Prefer an all-in-one?

An all-in-one builds the heat pump into the cylinder itself, so there's just one neat unit against the wall and a straightforward swap for an old electric tank. Rinnai's current integrated range gives you two ways to go.

*COP figures are Rinnai's published best-case numbers, measured at 32.6°C ambient with a 21.1°C cold water inlet (32°C and 18°C for the S5); day-to-day efficiency varies with conditions. Ambient ranges are for heat-pump operation and the boost element works beyond them. Sound levels are measured at 1.5m; levels on installed systems can be higher due to reflections from nearby surfaces. Cylinder warranties are domestic terms on the inner cylinder (parts), with extended terms subject to participation in Rinnai's scheduled service program; other components carry shorter terms, see the warranty booklets. Recovery rates vary with conditions so Rinnai doesn't publish a single figure; with 7.0kW of heating power the S7 reheats fastest under heavy demand. Every model is rated to water pressures up to 1000 kPa. Full dimensions, weights and connection details are in the brochures. We'll confirm the right model and configuration for your site when we quote.

Paying for it

Help with the cost

Spread it with a 0% interest loan

Heat pump hot water is on the NSW Home Energy Saver approved-upgrade list. Borrow up to $15,000 at 0% interest, repaid over up to 10 years, with no upfront or ongoing fees. We can arrange it for you through Brighte when we quote.

How the 0% loan works

There may be a rebate in it too

Swapping an old electric tank for a heat pump can qualify for federal and NSW energy-saving incentives, which can bring the upfront price down. We'll talk you through what applies to your home.

How incentives work

Loan eligibility criteria apply and all loans are subject to Brighte's credit assessment and approval. Getting a quote from Ample Air is free and is not a finance application.
