Absolutely. Modern reverse cycle systems do much more than just heat and cool; they actively filter the air circulating in your home. Many new systems feature advanced air-purifying filters that capture dust, allergens, and airborne particles. This is a massive benefit for asthma and allergy sufferers, and incredibly helpful for keeping your indoor air fresh during the bushfire season in the Blue Mountains and Western Sydney.

Not usually. Thanks to modern Inverter technology, today’s outdoor compressors are incredibly quiet and run at a steady, low speed compared to older, noisy models. Furthermore, during our free site inspection, our technicians carefully plan the outdoor unit’s location to minimise any disturbance to you and your neighbors.

Installing an air conditioner in a strata-managed property or apartment usually requires formal approval from your Body Corporate or Strata Manager before work can begin. They often have specific by-laws regarding where the outdoor compressor can be placed, noise restrictions, and how external pipes must be concealed. We can help provide the technical specifications, diagrams, and exact quotes you need to submit a successful strata application.

The Manufacturer Warranty (typically a 7-year warranty for top-tier brands like Rinnai, Carrier, and Toshiba ) covers the physical air conditioning machine and its internal components. The Installation Warranty is provided directly by Ample Air and covers our workmanship—this includes the copper pipework, electrical wiring, and ducting. Because Ample Air has been operating since 1982 , you have the peace of mind knowing we will be here to honor both our work and your service needs years down the line.

At Ample Air, we refuse to guess your installation costs over the phone because a compliant, safe, and effective installation requires careful physical planning. There are three major reasons we must visit your home before quoting:
- The Indoor Fan Coil & Roof Space: For ducted systems, the indoor fan coil unit is a large piece of equipment. Our technicians need to physically inspect your roof cavity to ensure the unit will fit in the roof space, sit safely between the roof trusses, and have enough clearance under the pitch of your roof. We also need to map out where the flexible ducting will run.
- Accurate Heat Load Calculations: Every house absorbs heat differently. The number of windows, the direction your house faces, your ceiling height, and your existing insulation all contribute to your home’s “heat load.” We must measure these factors in person to calculate the exact kilowatt capacity required. Quoting over the phone often leads to undersized units that burn out, or oversized units that waste power and cause temperature issues.
- Equipment Footprints & Compliance: Outdoor compressors come in wildly varying physical footprints. We must measure the exact space down the side of your house to ensure the unit will have adequate ventilation, safe service access, and comply with regulations. We also need to inspect your electrical switchboard to confirm it can handle the new load safely.
By conducting a thorough site inspection, Ample Air guarantees you get the right system for your home with a fixed, accurate quote and zero hidden fees on installation day.
