At Ample Air, we refuse to guess your installation costs over the phone because a compliant, safe, and effective installation requires careful physical planning. There are three major reasons we must visit your home before quoting:
- The Indoor Fan Coil & Roof Space: For ducted systems, the indoor fan coil unit is a large piece of equipment. Our technicians need to physically inspect your roof cavity to ensure the unit will fit in the roof space, sit safely between the roof trusses, and have enough clearance under the pitch of your roof. We also need to map out where the flexible ducting will run.
- Accurate Heat Load Calculations: Every house absorbs heat differently. The number of windows, the direction your house faces, your ceiling height, and your existing insulation all contribute to your home’s “heat load.” We must measure these factors in person to calculate the exact kilowatt capacity required. Quoting over the phone often leads to undersized units that burn out, or oversized units that waste power and cause temperature issues.
- Equipment Footprints & Compliance: Outdoor compressors come in wildly varying physical footprints. We must measure the exact space down the side of your house to ensure the unit will have adequate ventilation, safe service access, and comply with regulations. We also need to inspect your electrical switchboard to confirm it can handle the new load safely.
By conducting a thorough site inspection, Ample Air guarantees you get the right system for your home with a fixed, accurate quote and zero hidden fees on installation day.
