Where we fit in
Mould is a symptom. Before anyone sells you a fix, it's worth knowing where the water is coming from.
If it's getting in from outside, a leaking roof, a cracked pipe, blocked drainage or water pooling under the house, that's one for a roofer, plumber or builder, and it needs sorting first. No fan or dehumidifier will keep up with a leak.
If the house is simply damp, with condensation on the windows every winter, musty wardrobes or a subfloor that never dries out, that's us. We'll look at the space, work out whether it needs ventilation, dehumidification or both, and quote it properly.
For the mould that's already there, the SAN-AIR range from our warehouse does the clean-up and stops it settling back in. We don't run a cleaning crew, so for a whole ceiling or a room that's been flooded you'll want a mould remediation company.

Subfloor ventilation
Damp under the house works its way up into floors, skirtings and wardrobes. A CSR Bradford EcoFan pulls that air out and keeps the subfloor dry. From $449 a unit, plus installation.
Wet-area ventilation
Steam from the shower and the dryer has to go somewhere. Panasonic DC ceiling fans, ducted outside, send it out of the house instead of into the ceiling. Quiet, efficient, quoted and installed.
Dehumidification
For a room or two, a portable Ionmax from our warehouse, from $549. For damp right through the house, a fixed unit that drains itself and runs without you emptying a tank.

Most surface mould comes off with the SAN-AIR remover, and a gel or diffuser in the room keeps it from settling back in. Do you clean or remove mould?
We don't have a cleaning crew, no. For surface mould, the SAN-AIR remover does the job and a gel or diffuser keeps it away, and both are in our online store. For a whole ceiling or a room that's been flooded, a mould remediation company is the right call. Where we come in is fixing the moisture that keeps bringing it back.
Will you come out and have a look?
If it's a ventilation or dehumidifier install, yes, and the quote is free in Penrith, Nepean and the Blue Mountains. We don't do general mould inspections or leak detection, so if you're after someone to find the source, start with a roofer or builder.
Can you test the mould and give me a report for my landlord?
Testing and reports aren't something we offer. If you want a result in your hands, the SAN-AIR DIY test kit is the one to run yourself. For a formal report, you'll need an independent mould inspector.
How do I know if it's a leak or just damp?
One patch that's wet to the touch, a stain that grows after rain, or a musty smell under one room usually means water is getting in. That needs a roofer, plumber or builder first. Mould on cold walls, in wardrobes and around window frames every winter is usually condensation, and that's a ventilation and dehumidifier job.
Portable or fixed dehumidifier?
A portable unit handles a room or two and you can move it around the house as you need it. For damp right through the home, a fixed unit is installed once, drains itself and runs without you emptying a tank. Tell us the rooms and what you've noticed and we'll say which one your place needs.
What if the mould is in my air conditioner?
That's a job for our air conditioner deep clean: the system stripped down, cleaned and sanitised with the same natural SAN-AIR products. If the moisture problem is bigger than the unit, we'll talk ventilation and dehumidifiers too.
